TOW Seeks Director of Creative Strategy & Digital Media For the Obreros Program

Full-time. Minimum 4–6 years of experience. Bilingual (Spanish/English) Required. All applicants must submit a link to a portfolio of digital marketing or video work.
About the Role
The Theology of Work Project (TOW), a Christian non-profit 501()3, seeks a senior, bilingual Director of Creative Strategy & Digital Media to lead digital marketing, media strategy, and distribution for TOW's Obreros Program. In partnership with Windrider Institute, Obreros pairs world-class independent filmmaking with actionable, Bible-based discussion tools. Obreros tells vivid, real-life stories of everyday work in the Hispanic community, aiming to connect millions of audience members to the deeper meaning of their work by translating biblical truths into visual stories that resonate with a digital generation.
The Director of Creative Strategy & Digital Media Marketing will combine strategic thinking, artistic sensibility, and strong people-management skills to shape how program content is marketed and distributed to reach a large-scale audience across digital platforms, while managing a team of contractors, interns, and volunteer contributors.

Target start date: January 2027
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy, Storytelling, & Distribution
- Develop and own the video-forward media and creative strategy for Obreros and related TOW initiatives, with realistic, phased audience goals that build toward a large-scale reach of millions over multiple years
- Define target audiences, including filmmakers, viewers, and funders, and shape Obreros's narrative voice and digital presence across web, social, video, and partner channels
- Translate audience insights, cultural trends, and platform behavior into actionable creative briefs and campaign strategies
- Advise and present strategy, campaign concepts, and audience-growth recommendations (including GEO/SEO and platform selection) to TOW's senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Use analytics to evaluate creative effectiveness, iterate based on data, and stay ahead of platform innovations
- Build and maintain a content calendar, with assistance from a social media manager as needed
Content Creation & Media Production
- Oversee end-to-end production and management of digital creative assets — including a library of video excerpts, short-form content, and adaptations of long-form assets (documentaries, interviews, outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage) — for websites, social media, video channels, and partner platforms. Responsibilities include managing other creators as well as light editing (raw footage and film assets will come from Obreros fellows, Windrider, and partner filmmakers) to produce platform-ready formats for marketing purposes
- Lead ideation and concept development for integrated campaigns spanning social media, paid digital, content marketing, and owned channels
- Coordinate additional content collection at events such as the Windrider Summit, directly or through fellows, interns, or contracted support
Team & Contractor Management
- Recruit, onboard, and manage part-time contractors, interns, and volunteers (e.g., social media manager, video editors, graphic designer, copywriters, content strategists, influencers/faces of the program)
- Establish and maintain creative quality standards, brand guidelines, and best practices across the team
- Assess program needs and build/manage creative budgets, timelines, and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects to meet program goals
Partnerships & External Coordination
- Coordinate with Windrider and other partners to align communications, schedules, and expectations, and maximize total audience
- Identify and cultivate distribution partnerships and industry connections — including Christian networks, churches, campus ministries, film festivals, faith-based distribution networks, screening/testing platforms, and film communities — to extend reach and support distribution and impact goals
- Serve as a point of connection between Obreros and TOW's broader mission, identifying opportunities for Obreros content and strategy to support TOW at large
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and production partners, including developing partner-facing communications and promotional materials as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal), with the ability to translate content between the two languages
